Andy Ly is a professional cellist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He performs regularly with the Berkeley Symphony and Vallejo Symphony, and his work spans orchestral collaborations, solo recitals, chamber music, and private events.
Andy studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and earned his degree from San Francisco State University, where he won the Concerto Competition performing Bloch's Schelomo. He studied extensively with cellist Daniel Gaisford, who shaped his approach to music as a practice of depth and authenticity.
In addition to performing, Andy maintains a private teaching studio in Pleasanton, where he works with students of all levels.
